No, I don't think he does. Nothing has ever been written about it.
Dan Abnormal. Norman Balda.
She is 6 years old now and was born on October 2, 1999. Her name is Missy Albarn. It
has been said that she is named after the infamous American rapper,
Missy "Misdemenor" Elliot.
Justine Frischman was Damon's long-term girlfriend during 1990 to 1998(approximately).
She was formerly in the band Suede and later, when on to start her own
band named Elastica. Which is now defunct. Their second and last album
release was The Menace in 2000.
He was the first journalist to write about Blur. They dedicated their 10
February 1997 gig at the Astoria and singles off of Blur to him. *
Jamie Hewlett is a comic artist who created Tank Girl with Alan Martin in 1988.
He also handles the visual aspect for the animated-cartoon group, Gorillaz.
George Thompson Primary School(Leytonstone), Stanway Comprehensive School(Essex), East 15 Drama School(Debden),
Goldsmiths College(London). **
Seymour formed around 1988 and later changed their name to Blur when they were signed to Food Records.
The line-up remians unchanged. Six Seymour songs have been released as Blur b-sides: "Shimmer", "Tell
Me Tell Me", "Fried", "Long Legged", "Dizzy", and "Mixed Up". The name Seymour refers to the J.D. Salinger
character, Seymour Glass. Damon was reading Salinger's Seymour: An Introduction when the band formed. *
Sorry, I thought I would've had this finished by now. But it's coming!
Damon appears in the film Face with Robert Carlyle(of Trainspotting and
Full Monty), where he plays a member of a gang of thieves. * Released in 1997.
No one really knows for sure. But it was mostly based on musical differences. Graham
has said he's much happier now than ever before.
It is Simon Tong, formerly of the band The Verve.
Damon has a tattoo of a red rose with MUM written across it. I believe he also has another
tattoo of somesort on his lower belly. I remember seeing it when Blur performed "Song 2"
live on The Late Show with David Letterman in 1997. When Damon jumped, his
shirt flipped up a little and you could see this little blue circle. Not sure of what it
was though. As well, on the enhanced "Out Of Time" CD single, you can see he has a little
heart with something written inside of it on his right arm. ilud has told me that it says, "suzi . missy".
Yes. During the commentary on the Ravenous DVD, Damon says, "I know how
he feels cos the last time I ate meat was when I was about sixteen and I had a
steak and I fainted afterwards cos of the protein rush."
Old style Adidas trainers from the 70s. Proper spelling "Trim Trab".
Damon changed the spelling to avoid being sued.
It is Phil Daniels again (refer to question 7). I believe it
was almost called "Darklife". There is also a Damon sung
version that was leaked to the internet 2 months prior to the actual album release. You can download the Damon verison in the downloads section.
It is a Damon demo from 1992. It was aired during Graham's Blur Radio Show. It
was recorded around the same time as the original Death of a Party, demo of Blue Jeans,
Sunday Sunday and some other unreleased tunes such as Pap Pop, Singular Charm, Beached Whale. - credit: Martin.
A limited edition white label 7" that Blur released on 13 November 2002. It is "a really stupid little demo," Damon had said
during an interview on The Evening Session. The name on the disc is in Arabic, it roughly translates as “'Don’t throw the bomb when you are yourself the bomb'”,
a title that corresponds with ‘Don't Bomb When You’re The Bomb’ (the playout groove also includes the words ‘THE BOMB’).
"Wassailing Song" is a limited edition single that was given away at a special Christmas gig. Food Records had advised them against doing the gig, but Blur did it anyway. The song is an old Christmas hymn, and the title refers to a wassailing bowl, which was used to drink punch. Only 500 copies of the record were made. The
record is unique in the Blur discography for being the only one that features vocals from all four members of the band. Damon sings the first verse, Graham
the second, Dave the third and Alex the last verse. All four sing the chorus.
Yes. It was written by Damon and former manager Graeme Holdaway during the
time of Circus. About two years ago (2000), you could download the mp3 at the website
Over18s Records for $2.95. They claimed to have access to even
more unreleased tracks. The Scottish-based internet site had been ordered to close.
Damon's lawyers have told the site's owner that he would face court action unless it was shut
within 14 days. But David Kildare, of Perthshire, had vowed to keep it open. Kildare
claimed he was not breaking the law as Damon supposedly gave him a tape of the song
after a chance meeting in 1989.
